YOU BELONG HERE
Church is not an organization you join, it is a FAMILY where you belong, a HOME where you are loved and a HOSPITAL where you find healing. (Nicky Gumbel)

St. Anthony de Padua

Known as the patron saint of the poor, of sailors and fishermen, of priests and travelers, a protector and guardian of the mails, and wonder-worker, he is also invoked for the return of lost property. His story is very special.

Our Mission of Outreach

Outreach has always been a big part of St. Anthony's mission. The church supports the Barrow County Food Bank with monthly requests for donations of different foods, luxury and infant items. Our congregation also supports nine local non-profit organizations with 3rd Sunday financial donations. We serve through the Barrow County Ministerial Association as Church of the Month during January of each year. Our members are strong in volunteering thoughout our community and spreading the love of Christ to all we meet.

St. Anthony's Church invites you to come and walk our garden labyrinth in prayer and/or silent contemplation. The labyrinth, our gift to the community, captures the rich experience of the Christian medieval design in the a' la Chartres replica adaptation, requiring somewhat less space than the original labyrinth.

The original is found in the nave floor of Notre Dame de Chartre, outside of Paris France. It was constructed according to the principles of sacred geometry circa 1201. It is considered to be a masterwork of medieval craftmanship.

Our prayer is that this labyrinth will be a source of peace and spiritual reflection for both the community and area visitors.
